Tumblr Mini-Review
So I’ve been using Tumblr for a couple of weeks now, but what do I really think about it?
I’ll be honest with you — I love it. I have had numerous blogs in the past, and something about them has never really held my interest longer than a week or two. So far, that curse seems to be broken, and I think it has to do with the Tumblr bookmarklet. Having the bookmarklet handy makes posting things like links, pictures and videos all too easy.
More than that, though, the Tumblr service itself is very lightweight. Logging into Blogger or WordPress and cranking out a post was always somewhat involved, much more so than it should have been. Getting a post cranked out in Tumblr (if I’m not using the bookmarklet) is a matter of three clicks and some typing. Literally, couldn’t be easier.
If anyone reading this is considering starting a blog of some kind, may I recommend starting a tumblelog instead?
