When most people hear the phrase “pre-fab home,” (short for “pre-fabricated”) they think “trailer.”  That’s not an unfair association, but it does show that pre-fab home designers have a ways to go to prove that “pre-fab” doesn’t have to be light on style.Case in point: this pre-fab home from studio804. It has a nice open floor plan to make the home feel bigger, floor-to-ceiling windows to let in more natural light, and an overall aesthetic I find undeniably appealing.  If all pre-fab homes were this sleek, I don’t think “pre-fab” would suffer the same stigma it does currently. (via Inhabitat)
